Welcome to Night of the Arts (NOTA): A Virtual Celebration! As our world has suddenly changed, we have seen artists take to online platforms to perform their music and share their work. From balconies in Italy to live concerts on Instagram, artists have found a way to share. In March, our Fine Arts Faculty met to develop a plan for a virtual event if we could not meet on April 16th at our 21st annual NOTA event. This idea was created and manifested by the Fine Arts Faculty to honor the amazing students we have at Trinity Academy. We are thrilled to offer our students this platform where they can shine, while providing a place for the community to unite virtually in celebrating the artistic gifts of Trinity Academy’s student body. Putting on NOTA—in person, or virtually—requires much work. This effort represents the best of Trinity Academy. Students came to Founders Hall to record on our stage—all at different times and socially distant. Current student Mason Miller and alumni Matt Currin and Michael Gardo were our tech team. Performing Arts faculty walked them through the process and, along with their parents, formed the only “audience” to cheer them on. Artists worked on unfinished art at home and created new pieces completely from home to be part of this event. Visual Arts faculty met with students one-on-one at school, masked and socially distant, to give students the needed supplies and guidance to finish their pieces for the show.
As you move through the site, you will find visual art galleries and musical performances from every level, showcasing an amazing breadth of variety. With the invaluable help of Brad Hodgson (Director of Technology) and Jane Currin (Director of Marketing and Communications), visual arts teachers Holly Sturt and Melissa Williams have spent hours creating a beautiful virtual space.
In addition to our NOTA performances, you can also find songs from the spring Theatre Arts production, Fiddler on the Roof. We are so grateful these students were able to perform and share a little of their hard work with our community. As always, thank you for supporting the arts at Trinity Academy and enjoy exploring!
