Trinity’s diverse theatre arts program is led by Krista Tritt.

Krista Tritt is Trinity’s new Theatre Arts teacher and comes with experience in both high school and elementary school theatre education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama Education from Piedmont College in Demorest, GA and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Ms. Tritt has worked with missionaries in Peru, Costa Rica, and Greece using drama for evangelism and discipleship. Productions Ms. Tritt has directed include Into the Woods, Annie, The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Dear Edwina, How Rabbit Brought Fire to the People, and more. Ms. Tritt also has a background in dance and has choreographed a range of shows including The Music Man and Aristocats. She believes that drama is a vehicle to reach students as they grow in their faith and is excited to create theatre with the Trinity thespians!

Trinity performances have been recognized through several North Carolina Theatre Capital Award nominations, including best musical, best featured performer and best set design and a win for best costume design.  Recent performances include “Last Chance Texaco”, Spitfire Grill”, “Ernest in Love”, “The Merchant of Venice”, “Babes in Arms”, “The Biograph Girl”, a madrigal version of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night”, and “Night of the Playwrights”, a rotating collection of one act plays.

Our theatre department has received wonderful accolades. Trinity has participated in the North Carolina Theatre Conference Competition and our casts and crews continue to receive glowing remarks. Trinity students have also performed during the Capital Awards at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
