Whitney Inge is a third grader who loves to express herself through art, music, and dance. She has been playing piano for three and a half years and takes lessons from Vivian Adams. Whitney enjoys ballet and jazz, reading (especially Beverly Cleary), music, and playing with her friends and dogs.

Ivanna West is a third grader in Mrs. Gunnel’s class. She is singing for the second time at Night of the Arts. She has been in voice lessons at Musician’s Learning Center for one year and enjoys singing gospel, Beatles music, and songs from musical theatre. Ivanna also plays piano. Her favorite Trinity Academy memory was singing last year at Night of the Arts. Ivanna is accompanied by Katherine Barton, Trinity Academy’s private piano instructor.

Hannah Ashley has been playing violin for seven and a half years and piano for three years, both under respected instructors, Margaret Gariss (violin) and Vivian Adams (piano). Hannah is a fourth grader in Mrs. Rutherford’s class and her favorite memory at Trinity Academy was when her current class was on the way to Fort Bragg for a field trip and everyone started singing when they were almost at the fort! Hannah plays in a NC Chamber Music Institute Quartet. She recently did an outreach with the Community School of Music and they played 3 pieces.

Piper Armstrong is a fifth grader in Mrs. Smith’s class who loves to read, play soccer, and draw. This is her fourth year in piano lessons, and she has shown such growth. She currently takes lessons from Jennie Vance at North Raleigh School of Music. One of Piper’s favorite memories at Trinity Academy is when the train to Charlotte broke down on the fourth-grade field trip.

Michael Bruce is a fifth grader in Mrs. Smith’s class, and he loves to sing and play games. Michael is a proud member of the NC Elementary Honors Chorus and has sung in choir at Trinity for many years. He enjoys playing and exploring outside, building things, reading, and playing soccer. He also loves the game Exploding Kittens!

Sixth grader, Lauren Jackson is making her NOTA debut. She is a two-time member of the NC Elementary Honors Chorus where she earned a perfect score on her audition. She has also received the Outstanding Soloist at Music in the Parks Festival in Williamsburg, VA. Her favorite memory at Trinity Academy was during one of Mrs. Hofer’s readers’ theater humanities lessons where she couldn’t get out of her costume! She is an avid reader and enjoys the book series Keeper of the Lost Cities by Lisa McMann.

Giles Family Band is made up of Anna Giles and her five children. Anna plays guitar in the band. Her musical children are….

Carly is a fifth grader in Mrs. Scrudato’s class who has taken viola lessons at Latchum Music and Sound. She enjoys drawing, baking, and reading. Her favorite author is Wendy Mass. Carly is the manager for the Middle School Girls’ Soccer Team and has received the Art Award and the Esther Award. She is a compassionate friend and animal lover, and hopes to become a veterinarian one day.

James also takes lessons at Latchum Music and Sound and has played cello for five years. He is a kind-hearted third grader and enjoys helping his classmates. He has won the Live the Truth Award (2017) and the Music Award (2019). His favorite Trinity Academy memory was Roman Day in second grade.

First grader, Lauren is in Ms. Burrows’ class. This is her second year to sing with the band for Night of the Arts. Her favorite memory at Trinity Academy was rock climbing at Homecoming. She likes Amelia Bedelia books, and enjoys playing with dollhouses and coloring.

Naomi is our first Transitional Kindergarten student to perform at Night of the Arts. She is playing the mandolin in the band. Naomi enjoys coloring, drawing, and playing with her dollhouse. Her favorite books are collections of Shel Silverstein poems.

Rachel plays fiddle in the Giles Family Band and has taken lessons at Latchum Music and Sound for seven years. She is an outgoing 8th grader who loves to be outside and play sports. Rachel is a three-season athlete at Trinity Academy playing soccer, basketball, and running cross-country. Her favorite memory is when 5th grader teacher, Mrs. Scrudato did a cartwheel during math class.
