Planning for the Trinity of Tomorrow

In April 2024, Trinity Academy’s Board of Directors enlisted the Triangle-based nonprofit consulting firm moss+ross to explore our potential for a campaign to fund campus improvements. An integral part of this process involves gathering community feedback on philanthropic support for two proposed scenarios that align with our campus vision, conducted through a feasibility study.

The two scenarios center on the construction of a new Lower School building. This improvement ensures that all students will spend their days in vibrant classroom environments that clearly testify to truth, beauty, and goodness. This Preliminary Case Statement has been created and presents both scenarios:

Option One envisions a 3-story Lower School Building with amenities.

Option Two envisions a 2-story Lower School, plus a ``Trinity Commons`` attached to the front of Founders Hall.

Confidential interviews and community surveys were started in May 2024 to gather feedback on our plans. After completing the interviews and surveys, moss+ross will compile the study findings into a report. This report will include interview feedback, assess the campaign’s viability regarding fundraising goals, highlight donor priorities, suggest campaign leadership strategies, and offer recommendations on organizing the campaign and key messages.

Dr. Tim Bridges, Trinity’s Head of School, shares his vision for Trinity’s next capital campaign.

Past Capital Projects

While we are always looking to the future, Trinity Academy is also proud of our past capital projects that have strengthened our campus and community.

TRINITY RISE – This highly successful campaign resulted in our Upper School Academic building. Students and faculty moved into the 2 story, XX sq. ft building on August 21, 2023. Inside, students enjoy classrooms designed to facilitate Socratic  dialogue, four science labs, state of the art technology, and collaboration space for our faculty.
ATRIUM – completed in XXXX, this xx sf space adjacent to Founders Hall is flexible enough to be used for as a daily lunchroom, meeting space, special event space (e.g., Grandparents Prayer Breakfast, Senior Prayer Luncheon, Mother’s Day Tea, etc.). This open-air convertible space with the use of “garage-style” doors, and a gas log stone fireplace makes it enjoyable year-round.
FOUNDERS HALL Brick Wrap – adding brick to the existing structure and renaming the space for Trinity Academy’s founders, transformed this into a cornerstone for our overall Master Plan, adding permanence to Trinity’s campus. **Brick in the foundation (story to come)
TARMAC – The Trinity Academy of Raleigh Multi-Activities Center was initially a metal structure with a beautiful hardwood basketball court, mezzanine, and large stage for hosting sporting events, theatre productions, concerts, and any Trinity-wide event. Completed in XXX, this XX sf facility is a hub of daily activity with PE, theatre practice, and athletic contests.
