Fine Arts

Discover the Fine Arts at Trinity Academy

At Trinity Academy our mission for teaching Fine Arts is to cultivate a deep appreciation for beauty while also encouraging students to develop their God-given talents and abilities. The study of Fine Arts is an essential part of a well-rounded education as it helps students to develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

As a Christian school, we believe that students are created in the image of God. The study of Fine Arts in a Christian setting facilitates a deeper embrace of truth and goodness and presents students with a variety of opportunities to reflect God’s glory. We hold that all truth is God’s truth, and that the beauty found in art can point us towards the beauty of God’s creation and Christ as the ultimate source of all truth.

Our approach to teaching Fine Arts is also rooted in the classical tradition, which emphasizes the importance of the humanities and the development of the whole person. Our study of Music, Visual Arts, and Theatre Arts encourages students to respond to the fallen world around them by fixing their gaze on “whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable…excellent or praiseworthy” (Philippians 4:8).

Private Music Lessons

Private Music Lessons at Trinity Academy provide an opportunity for students to receive one-on-one instruction in their chosen instrument. These lessons are taught by experienced musicians who have a deep passion for their craft and the Lord Jesus. In these lessons, students receive personalized instruction tailored to their individual needs and goals. They learn the fundamentals of their instrument, including proper technique, music theory, and interpretation. Students work on repertoire that is appropriate for their skill level, whether it is classical, contemporary, or sacred music. In addition to technical skills, students develop a deeper appreciation for the beauty and complexity of music as a reflection of God’s creative nature. They offer a unique opportunity to receive personalized instruction, develop technical skills, and explore the spiritual and cultural significance of music in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Lessons are taught in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions during the school day or after school. We currently offer lessons in piano, violin, viola, and guitar (both acoustic and electric). Registration for summer lessons is in May and school year lessons in June. Learn more here.
