Katie Schottmiller

Katie leads GSK’s Independent Business Monitoring (IBM) for North America.  Since joining the team in January 2017, Katie facilitated the transition from prescribed CIA monitoring to a flexible business partnering function focusing primarily on Commercial and Anti-Bribery and Corruption risks.  Katie joined GSK in 2011 in the Audit and Assurance function and led and participated in audits across multiple risks and GSK locations.

Katie began her career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen in San Jose, CA and just prior to GSK, spent over 6 years with the Advisory team at Ernst & Young in Raleigh conducting internal audits in a number of industries including software, manufacturing and biotechnology. Katie is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and California.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and three children, Lauren (Class of 2026), Meredith (Class of 2028), and Jack (Class of 2032).  Katie is a Board member of SAFEchild in Raleigh and a Junior League of Raleigh sustainer, where she has served as a Board member and fundraising volunteer. Her family attends White Memorial Presbyterian Church.
