Seventh grader, Abigail Ashley, is no stranger to the Trinity Academy stage. She has played in every Night of the Arts since she was in Kindergarten. She has played violin for ten years under the tutelage of Margaret Gariss. Also an accomplished pianist, she takes lessons with Vivian Adams. In March, Abigail competed in the NC Federation of Music Clubs where she won her division and was invited to participate in the state event. Abigail also enjoys swimming, baking, singing, acting, and hanging out with friends.

Anna Cate Badin is a seventh grader who loves singing and golfing. She has been at Trinity Academy since second grade. Her favorite memories have been hanging out with friends during recess. She swims on the Trinity Swim Team. In her free time, Anna Cate emjoys listening to her favorite artists, Lewis Capaldi and Ariana Grande. Anna Cate is accompanied by seventh grader, Abigail Ashley.

Ellary Hileman, a seventh grader, is back on the NOTA stage to sing a fabulous song, “Quiet” from Matilda the Musical. She is accompanied by Mrs. Andrea Turner. She takes voice lessons with Ms. Lundy and enjoys singing, musical theatre, dancing, swimming, and baking. She is a member of the Trinity Academy Swim Team. Her favorite memory here was her fifth-grade field trip to United Skates of America. Ellary is accompanied by Andrea Turner.

Molly Hinkle is a seventh grader who loves books, Jesus, and her piano bench which is passed down from her great grandmother. She has been playing piano for four years and is taking lessons from Trinity Academy piano instructor, Katherine Barton. Molly enjoys reading, playing piano, and playing tennis. Jane Austen is a favorite author of Molly’s. Her favorite Trinity Academy memory was her sixth grade Spring Concert.

Lilly Kate Turner is a freshman who enjoys filling her schedule with things to do, including tap and musical theatre. She is a proud member of the Trinity Academy State Championship Tennis Team and also cheers. Music is a big part of her life. Her mom, Andrea Turner, is a piano teacher and music director at her church.

Seventh grader, Savannah Turner enjoys dance, singing, guitar, and playing volleyball. Her favorite memory at Trinity Academy was her performance in last year’s Night of the Arts with her sister, Lilly Kate. She loves animals and music. Music is calming to her and she hopes to grow up to sing and teach children.

Maddie Karl is back to perform an original work, Everything Will Turn Out Fine. This eighth grader is in her eighth year of piano lessons and her current studio is Family Piano Academy. She enjoys songwriting, piano, singing, reading, and writing. She’s a big fan of the Harry Potter series and her favorite artist is band Panic! at the Disco. She plays keeper for the MS Girls’ Soccer Team and is also a Trinity cheerleader. She has written over 40 songs in the last two years.

The Middle School Concert Choir is an extra-curricular, elective ensemble that met this year during study block. Abigail Ashley, Judah Cole, Caroline Curlin, Ellary Hileman, Abby Joseph, Maddie Karl, Lily Lehtinen, and Sara Sevarino, elected to dedicate their own time to creating music together and grew immensely in their vocal performance. Those members who were unable to participate in this recording were missed! Abigail Ashley performed the solo at the beginning. They are accompanied by Andrea Turner.

Giles Family Band is made up of Anna Giles and her five children. Anna plays guitar in the band. Her musical children are….

Carly is a fifth grader in Mrs. Scrudato’s class who has taken viola lessons at Latchum Music and Sound. She enjoys drawing, baking, and reading. Her favorite author is Wendy Mass. Carly is the manager for the Middle School Girls’ Soccer Team and has received the Art Award and the Esther Award in Lower School. She is a compassionate friend and animal lover. She hopes to become a veterinarian one day.

James also takes lessons at Latchum Music and Sound and has played cello for five years. He is a kind-hearted third grader and enjoys helping his classmates. He has won the Live the Truth Award (2017) and the Music Award (2019). His favorite Trinity Academy memory was Roman Day in second grade.

First grader, Lauren is in Ms. Burrows’ class. This is her second year to sing with the band for Night of the Arts. Her favorite memory at Trinity Academy was rock climbing at Homecoming. She likes Amelia Bedelia books, and enjoys playing with dollhouses and coloring.

Naomi is our first Transitional Kindergarten student to perform at Night of the Arts. She is playing the mandolin in the band. Naomi enjoys coloring, drawing, and playing with her dollhouse. Her favorite books are collections of Shel Silverstein poems.

Rachel plays fiddle in the Giles Family Band and has taken lessons at Latchum Music and Sound for seven years. She is an outgoing 8th grader who loves to be outside and play sports. Rachel is a three-season athlete at Trinity Academy playing soccer, basketball, and running cross-country. Her favorite memory is when 5th grader teacher, Mrs. Scrudato did a cartwheel during math class.
