Retired Senior Financial Advisor, Merrill Lynch
Kathryn is a native of Greenville, North Carolina. She graduated with honors from North Carolina State University where she served as President of Lambda Pi Eta’s National Honor Society. Professionally, Kathryn worked as a Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch until the birth of her first child.
Kathryn and her husband, Bill are proud parents of two Trinity Academy students. Mary Kate, Class of 2022 and William, Class of 2026. In addition, The Ayers Family had the privilege of hosting an Exchange Student from South Korea that also attended Trinity Academy. The Ayers family attends Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC.
Since leaving the workforce, Kathryn has focused on caring for her family and volunteer work. During this time, she has served on the Board of Directors for Wake County’s Boys and Girls Club, various roles in women’s ministry at Providence, Co-Chair of Trinity Academy’s “Building An Exceptional Future” Campaign and Chair of Trinity Academy’s Board of Directors. Currently, Kathryn serves in student ministry and is a Guardian Ad Litem where she is a volunteer court appointed advocate for foster children. She serves on Trinity’s Building and Development Committees.

Our family has been blessed to be a part of the Trinity community for over a decade. Serving in various capacities has only given me a deeper love and appreciation for our unique community of faith and learning. There is a genuineness throughout the community that is invaluable. The community has been a gift to our entire family! I recently heard Dr. Bridges describe a bigger goal for our graduates than just merely being employable or accepted into top universities – Trinity aspires for our graduates to also be healthy, fierce, tough, tender, virtuous, inquisitive beautiful souls. It is a joy to be a part of a mission that aspires to shape this kind of graduate.
