Melissa Williams began teaching Middle School Art at Trinity Academy in 2012, but her children have attended since 2009. Melissa has an undergraduate degree in art education from Meredith College. Before coming to Trinity, Melissa taught high school art at a private school. After having children, Melissa took some time off to stay at home, but she was thrilled when the art position became available and has loved being back in the classroom. Watching kids enjoying the process of creating brings Melissa delight. “I love to see students immerse themselves into a project and create something amazing that they didn’t know they could.”
Melissa also enjoys building relationships with students which led led her to coach volleyball at Trinity. She is passionate about building strong skills and teaching the value of teamwork on and off the court. Mrs. Williams also heads up the Middle School girls Character Education and leads a weekly Middle School girls’ Bible study.
