I am not an organized picture taker. I admire my friends who create chronological, creative digital photo albums of family vacations and milestones, but so far, my admiration has not been quite enough impetus to begin creating my own. Maybe this will be the summer I begin?
When I scroll through my phone’s camera pictures, I am taken back to so many moments of joy, snapshots if you will, of my family’s life in pictures. From time to time, I reflect on these quick bursts caught in time, and when I do, I am overwhelmed by gratitude.
This past week has been filled with snapshots of the dynamic, classical education we offer, and I am once again filled with gratitude for the hard-working teachers, generous parent volunteers, and dedicated administrators at Trinity Academy. Take a “look” at what’s been going on around campus just this week:
- a dynamic, interactive Lower School assembly highlighting the new strings program
- several classes honoring parents with Mother’s Day gatherings
- grandparents serving in classrooms as guest readers
- the arts on full display during Thursday evening’s Lower School music concert
- a MS boys’ baseball championship game!
- fourth grade’s lively theme day with an American Revolution focus
- a trip to Carowinds for the LS training choir
As we count down to the final days of the school year, what a joy it is to partner with you to create this special community we call Trinity Academy. It’s a picture of God’s goodness and faithfulness to all of us!
Have a wonderful weekend!

SPECIAL EVENT INVITE FOR ALL TRINITY PARENTS
Join Allison Ashley, along with her friend and author, Kimberly Perry, on Wednesday, May 30th at 7:00pm in the atrium. The topic of conversation will be about equipping and empowering parents in safeguarding their children regarding boundaries and personal safety. Come and learn ways to start the conversation with your children. Kimberly Perry, founder of We Stand Guard*, will share personal safety strategies and tools to help empower our kids, using child friendly language in a customizable way. Workbook required – available for purchase at the workshop for $20.
Kimberly Perry is an author and elementary school educator with over 15 years of experience working with children across the country and a Master of Arts in Teaching. After teaching boundaries and personal safety to over 1,000 elementary school students, she was inspired to write the Say “NO!” and TELL! books. She values the wise words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer: “The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children.”
*We Stand Guard offers solutions to prevent the problem of child sexual abuse by teaching boundaries and personal safety to children and grown-ups. We raise awareness and educate people about the growing problem of child sexual abuse and combat this epidemic with prevention strategies by empowering families and organizations.
