Happy Friday! Due to the weather it is necessary to postpone all of today’s Homecoming festivities until next Friday, October 9. We want our entire community to enjoy all the special ways Homecoming brings Lower and Upper School students together.
On Thursday and Friday of next week, I will be away attending a conference with other classical school leaders from across the country. I will have limited access to email during my absence. I will be back in the office on Monday, October 12th. I’m disappointed to miss Homecoming, but trust it will be a special time for everyone.
A reminder that Homecoming festivities have been moved to Friday, October 9 – including the Pep Rally. Concessions will open at 4:30 with the LS parade starting at 5:15 (please arrive by 5:00 so students can be organized for the parade). Our Homecoming court presentation is at 6:00 with the Walk of Champions at 6:50 leading to the soccer game underneath the lights at 7:00. The Walk of Champions is an opportunity for LS students to line the path with our cheerleaders as our varsity team walks to the field. I hope as many of you as possible will be able to attend!
Grandparents’ Day is Coming!
Friday, October 16th is Grandparents’ Day. Please help us ensure ALL grandparents receive an invitation by filling out this form with address and contact information. Invitations are being mailed today. More details about a revamped Grandparents’ Day program will be shared with you in the coming days. Additional questions about Grandparents’ contact information can be directed to Jamie Mastny at (email removed for web posting) .
Where is Stripes?
Mrs. Fatheree’s 2nd grade class earned their “Stripes” this week based upon a recommendation from Ms. Nelson. This class stood out to Ms. Nelson, not only for their excellent and superior behavior in LS music, but also because of their behavior in the hallway. Because Ms. Nelson’s classroom is located by the main entrance doors to the building, her classes are impacted whenever a classroom does not demonstrate excellent hallway behaviors. She is always grateful when a class not only meets Trinity’s hallway expectations but exceeds them! Way to go Mrs. Fatheree’s 2nd grade class!
