PATT Spirit Night March 15th @ PDQ

When: March 15th from 3:30-8:00 PM

Where: PDQ – 6305 Falls of Neuse Rd (Raleigh – 27615)

Gift Card details: PATT is selling $10 PDQ gift cards in carpool for $8 (20% off!).

Early Bird Special: March 13th-15th (ends at 3:30 on March 15th) – Buy 5 gift cards and get 1 free! This is a $60 value for $40 (or like receiving 4 free shakes with your meal and still having change left over)!

Why: Every gift card sold is $5 back to Trinity. Additionally, PDQ donates 10% of their revenue from Spirit Nights if you mention you are from Trinity. So, invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join you and proudly tell the cashier you are there with Trinity! This is a great way to support Trinity within activities you are already doing!

Did you know that every year PATT, through your participation in events like Spirit Nights, is able to invest $15K-$20K back into the Trinity community in the form of teacher grants, hospitality, staff appreciation, cultural arts, and special assemblies, just to name a few.  So, if your family eats at PDQ, pick up some gift cards in carpool line even if you are not able to join us March 15th.  If you do not use carpool, Barbara, in the administration building, will have PDQ cards you can purchase.  Or, you can send an email to pattboard@googlegroups.com and we will have an envelope with your gift cards ready for you to pick up with Barbara.  Please make checks payable to PATT before you pick up with Barbara.

Please see the attached flyer for more details and I hope to see many of you there!

March Madness! Friday, March 17th

In the spirit of March Madness, Friday, March 17th will be college jersey/t-shirt day! Students may wear one of the following:

  • Their regular uniform
  • Black & Gold attire but with a college jersey or t-shirt (Note: it must be college – professional sports teams are not allowed for this day).

Family Fit Challenge – Couch to Second Empire 5k:

Need a little help and motivation to get ready to run or walk in the April 22 Second Empire 5K?  Then join other Trinity parents and students on Saturdays at 9:30 am on the Trinity Academy track. Groups will be divided into 3 levels: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced runners.

We are suggesting using the Couch25K program to help families prepare for race day. http://www.c25k.com/

No need to sign-up, just show up this Saturday, March 11 and each Saturday through April 15.

Then, on Saturday, April 22, participate in the race (and Spring Fling) and you will be eligible to win a $250 gift card from Inside Out Sports.

NEW July Enrichment Opportunities – Week of July 24th-28th

I have been highlighting some new July enrichment opportunities and this week will highlight, specifically, the courses that are available for the third week (July 24-28).

  • Poetry Week (rising 5th-8th grade students) –Unlock the beauty and entertainment found within a variety of poetic forms!
  • Writer’s Week (rising 2nd-4th grade students) – Interact with age appropriate stories as budding writers create and illustrate their own stories!
  • Latin review (rising 4th-6th grade students; Trinity students only) – Explore the Latin language while reviewing material to strengthen Latin skills. Great for the student who loves Latin but also designed especially for the student who could use some additional review.
  • Hebrew Week (rising 5th-8th grade students) – Love languages? Spend a week learning basic Hebrew and studying a passage of scripture to gain a deeper understanding of the passage by exploring it in the original language!

As a reminder, all of these courses require a minimum number of participants (typically around 4) and are capped at a maximum (typically around 8 or 10) so do not hesitate to sign up! Each course costs $100-$120 with a few having an additional fee for materials. The courses last for two hours each day, totaling 10 hours over the week.
